Broken Social Scene - Almost Crimes Video
The end of last year was greatly cheered up by Broken Social Scene's album of the same name. It came as a complete surprise as I'd only ever heard their first, more post-rocky and instrumental album, Feels Good Lost. I recently got me hands on their second LP, 2002's You Forgot It In People a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to get enough of it. They are fast becoming one of my favourite bands of recent years.
Anyway, for me, one of the standout tracks from the album is Almost Crimes, and I spotted a video of it and had to crank it up. The video's nice and straight forward, nothing too pretentious, and the track, absolutely flipping awesome. For some reason this one track reminds me a lot of Arcade Fire - the bass line especially.
